December 05, 2008 - All India Engineering / Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE) 2009 for B.E., B.Tech., B.Arch / B.Planning

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the eighth All-India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE - 2009) on April 26, 2009.
It consists of two papers.
Paper-I (physics, chemistry and mathematics) with objective-type questions will be conducted from 09.30 PM to 12.30 PM This paper is for B.E. or B.Tech. aspirants.
Paper II is meant for B.Arch. and B.Planning aspirants and consists of mathematics, aptitude test and drawing test (from 02.00 PM to 05.00 PM).

Rs.450/- (Rs.225/- for SC/ST candidates with a copy of the SC/ST certificate)

Mode of Payment (DD / Cash):
Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Secretary, CBSE, payable at Delhi, and a self-addressed envelope of 12" x 10" to the Assistant Secretary (AIEEE)
Application Forms:

• In Person: The Application Form will be distributed from 05.12.2008 to 05.01.2009 through select branches of Syndicate Bank for Rs.450 (Rs.225 for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes categories). A sum of Rs.5 will be charged as processing charges.
  
  
• By Post: candidates should send a request along with a bank draft of Rs.500 drawn in favour of the Secretary, CBSE, payable at Delhi, and a self-addressed envelope of 12" x 10" to the Assistant Secretary (AIEEE), Central Board of Secondary Education, P.S. 1-2 Institutional Area, IP Extension, Patparganj, Delhi - 110 092, to reach the addressee on or before 15.12.2008.
  
  
• Online submission can be done on www.aieee.nic.in from 05.12.2008 to 05.01.2009. Last date for the receipt of applications is 10.01.2009.

Eligbility:

• Those who have passed Plus-Two or equivalent examination in 2007, 2008 or are appearing for Plus-Two in 2009 are eligible to appear. Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.E. or B.Tech. courses are physics and mathematics (compulsory subjects) and any one of chemistry, biotechnology, computer science and biology (no mark restrictions).
  
• For B.Arch. and B.Planning courses, candidates are required to have passed Plus-Two (with mathematics) with at least 50 marks in aggregate.
  
• The number of attempts for AIEEE is limited to three. Applicants should have born on or after October 1, 1984 (relaxable by five years for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes categories and differently-abled candidates.)
  

The completed application form should be sent so as to reach the addressee on or before 10.01.2009.
