Over 4500 candidates appear for PG entrance examination of VIT

Vellore: A total of 4586 candidates appeared for the entrance examination conducted by the VIT University, Vellore in 17 cities in India for admission to its postgraduate courses including M.Tech. and M.C.A. on Sunday.

According to a release from R. Nandakummar, Public Relations Officer, VIT, the entrance examination was conducted in Vellore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Patna, Pune and Bhopal for admission to M.Tech. courses in biotechnology, biomedical engineering, computer science and engineering, power electronics and devices, automotive electronics, communication engineering, nano technology, sensor system technology, VLSI design, information technology, automotive engineering, computer aided design and manufacturing, energy and environmental engineering, mechatronics and structural engineering, and M.C.A. While a total of 4655 candidates had applied for the entrance examination, only 4586 appeared for the same.
G. Viswanathan, Chancellor of VIT University, Sankar Viswanathan, Vice-President (Administration), V. Raju, Vice-Chancellor-in-charge, S. Narayanan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, VIT-Vellore campus and James Jebaseelan Samuel, Admission Officer supervised the entrance examination.

The results of the entrance examination would be published in the VIT website, www.vit.ac.in and also released through SMS.
