Vellore: The Directorate Of Technical Education (DOTE) will shortly be uploading details about all the polytechnic colleges in Tamil Nadu on its website for the benefit of prospective applicants, according to Kumar Jayanth, Commissioner of Technical Education.

Talking to The Hindu on the sidelines of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Thanthai Periyar E.V.R. Government Polytechnic College on the polytechnic premises here on Sunday, Mr. Jayanth said that details such as the number of candidates who passed in various courses in various polytechnic colleges would be uploaded on the website so that the applicants could know about the quality of instruction in the various colleges before applying to polytechnic colleges for admission. The Commissioner said that the DOTE had recently launched a system of attendance tracking, by which the attendance of the students in various polytechnics would be uploaded every month.
