Annamalai University convocation tomorrow

Cuddalore: The 75th annual convocation of Annamalai University will be held at Srinivasa Sastri Hall on the university premises at Chidambaram on Thursday, according to M. Ramanathan, Vice-Chancellor.

In a statement, Mr. Ramanathan said that Governor and Chancellor of the university Surjit Singh Barnala would give away certificates to the candidates who had successfully completed their programmes during 2007-08.


A total of 1,690 students would receive their degrees in person. A total of 88,153 candidates, including 81,475 distance education mode students, would get their degrees. K. Mohandas, director, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, would deliver the convocation address.

Pro-Chancellor M.A.M. Ramaswamy would participate.
