Applications are invited for admission to B.S.M.S / B.A.M.S / B.N.Y.S / B.U.M.S / B.H.M.S Degree courses for 2009-2010 session in Government / Self-Financing Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy Institutions in Tamilnadu.

Rs.500/- (for General); Rs.100/- (for Special Category)

Mode of Payment (DD / Cash):
Draft drawn in favour of "Director of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Chennai - 600 106", on or after 12.07.2009 payable at Chennai from any Nationalised bank. The name and address of the candidate should be written in the reverse of the demand draft.
Application Forms:

• In Person: Application forms can be obtained with a written requisition to the Principals of the of the following Government Medical Colleges with duly enclosing a crossed Demand Draft.

  > Government Homoeopathy Medical College, Thirumangalam, Madurai
  > Govt. Unani Medical College, Chennai - 600 106
  > Government Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College, Chennai - 600 106


• By Post: Candidates can be obtain the application by post on written requisition to the Principal of the above Government Colleges duly enclosing a Crossed Demand Draft
  
  
• Through Website: Application forms can be downloaded from www.tnhealth.org and send the application along with the crossed Demand Draft. (Rs.500/- or Rs.100/- as the case may be).

Eligbility: The candidate should be a citizen of India and a Native of Tamil Nadu only.

Age Limit: Should have completed the age of Seventeen years on or before 31st December 2009. Evidence should be produced.

Qualification:
Candidates should have passed in all the subjects of the qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board in one and the same attempt in the following group of subjects with the minimum eligible marks.
i) Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology (or)
ii) Physics, Chemistry, Biology with any other subject

Minimum Marks for BSMS, BAMS, BNYS, BUMS, BHMS:
(for OC): Minimum of 50% marks
(for BC & BCM): Minimum of 45% marks
(for MBC): Minimum of 40% marks
(for SC / ST): Minimum of 35% marks
in aggregate in the Science subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany and Zoology

Note: Candidates who have passed HSC Course in Vocational Stream are not eligible to apply. Only one form should be used for one special category. Candidates applying under Sports category should submit the applications with necessary documents in person at the Office of the Selection Committee, Chennai - 600 106. Without the required documents, their claim will not be considered under any circumstances.
